📍 Location:

Yamunotri Temple is situated in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand at an altitude of 3,293 meters (10,804 feet), near the source of the Yamuna River.

• Dedicated to Goddess Yamuna, one of the holiest rivers in India.

• It is the first stop in the Char Dham Yatra circuit (Yamunotri → Gangotri → Kedarnath → Badrinath).
